Although the spotlight is by all accounts on the new Panerai Luminor Due this year, with a little breadth, I like to focus on the new Panerai Luminor Base Logo and Luminor Marina Logo. These watches used to be outfitted with the Unitas/ETA development, however now have the new type P.6000 development. Created and made at Panerai in Neuchâtel. Let’s have a brief glance at these new watches.

Before I start, let me disclose to you that all watches are water impervious to 10 bar (~ 100 meters) and have the P.6000 development, that offers a force hold of 72 hours. As should be obvious, the dials are not the average sandwich dials, but rather have painted numerals.

Panerai Luminor Base Logo

Three new references for the Luminor Base Logo model. This 44mm Panerai is something I consider the ‘ur’- Panerai Luminor, without any seconds hand. Only two hands, a huge case and a hand-wound development. How a Panerai should be, in my book. With the 72 hours power save, an in-house created development and a retail cost of €4600 including VAT, a significant fascinating recommendation. Three varieties are accessible, two with a dark dial and one with a white dial. All watches have the OP logo at 6 o’clock. The PAM00773 comes with a dark dial with white printing. This watch has a dark tie with white sewing, an ideal match to the dial. The PAM00774 has a dark dial with a blue OP logo at 6 o’clock. You will likewise locate some blue components in the dark texture tie on this watch. The white dial adaptation is PAM0775, with dark Arabic numerals and you’ll discover beige brilliant spots above them. An exceptionally cool differentiation. This reference comes on an earthy colored calfskin strap.

Panerai Luminor Marina Logo

The contrast between the Luminor Base and Luminor Marina is the little running seconds hand, situated at 9 o’clock. The Luminor Marina rendition has a retail cost of €4900 including VAT. The hand-wound development is the P.6000, a hacking development that ticks at 21,600vph. The set-up of the Luminor Marina Logo is like the Base Logo rendition. One model with white dial (PAM00778) with earthy colored tie, and two watches with a dark dial. One with a white OP logo and a dark tie with white sewing (PAM00776) and the dark dial adaptation with blue OP logo and blue texture strap  (PAM00777).

All models have a hardened steel (shut) caseback, cleaned case and brushed (licensed) crown insurance framework. Despite the fact that I had nothing against the ETA/Unitas fueled Luminor models, or the sapphire casebacks, I can see the pride in having an in-house development in these models too for Panerai. Particularly at a cost under €5000, it is an intriguing recommendation for many.

These watches will be accessible as of July 2018. More data through Panerai .
